Careers: Outdoor education, multimedia, therapeutic recreation with mentally ill adults, educational technology. I took early retirement to pursue my more creative interests: pottery, photography, and now "eco printing" with natural dyes.

I'm a nature lover and have a boat collection: 3 kayaks, 1 houseboat on the St. Croix River, and 1/2 a kevlar canoe. I've gone on canoe trips to the BWCA almost every year since I was 21, although I'm slower now and like routes with few or no portages!

I moved an ice fishing house on wheels into by backyard last fall, which I've converted into my art studio. I have a big garden and grow plants to use as natural dyes.
