When I retired in 2008 one of my goals was to learn enough about the economy to at least vote knowledgably. In this blog, which I'll likely update only infrequently, I'll post longer entries which capture what I believe I've learned. I had to think up a good name for my blog and I believe that "Civil Discourse" because the dual meaning of the word "civil" captures both my intent to be even-handed and as objective as possible and the subject matter which deals with our civil society. These are best read using any browser other than Internet Explorer which seems to have occasional problems that cause sections of text to be blank.
